Course: MSc in East Asian Business

The MSc in East Asian Business offers a flexible range of units on business practice and culture in East Asia, some taught comparatively, other focusing specifically on China, Japan or Korea. All students will study the contemporary economic development and the business environments and cultures of East Asia; options include units focusing on management practice in China, Japan and Korea.

 

These units will address such questions as: How has South Korea’s response to the current global financial crisis reflected the lessons it learned from the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997? Why do Chinese firms invest abroad? How has rising affluence affected working life in Japan? What makes the Japanese market interesting for foreign firms? How important is technical progress to East Asian economic growth?
